Make your first guess
Enter a valid five-letter word using the on-screen keyboard or your own keyboard, then press Enter. Use the clues to improve your next guess.
- Cyan ● — right place
- The letter is in the correct position.
- Amber ↔ — wrong place
- The letter is in the word, but somewhere else.
- Slate × — not present
- The letter is absent, or there is no additional copy of it.
Choose how to play
Choose Duel, Race or Co-op, then Online, A friend or A bot. Guest play needs a nickname; Google sign-in is optional. Easy, Medium and Hard bots let you practise without a timer.
Words and languages
English accepts a broad UK and US word list, including plurals and inflections. Secret answers come from a separate curated list. Portuguese is a preview: enter accented letters and Ç as plain letters.
